It felt good to be putting pen to paper for the first time for a project in a while. As I have already mentioned I wanted to keep to theme of Love being the city of Love so I have drawn two out two people kissing. I used a 'kiss' instead of them actually kissing as i felt that it fitted well with the line drawing and with the overall illustrative style that i have. It stands out more as well. I also purposely added a beret on top of the girls head as I feel it was a nice touch to keep in with the french/parisian theme. I feel that the white background leaves the mural feeling a bit empty and unfinished, that with the contrast of the blue hearts makes the mural feel quite cold.
This coloured background is much better. It's so vibrant, it makes everything on the mural so much more eye catching. I feel there is still something missing from the mural and feel that I want to play around with the layout of all the individual elements more...
