I came across a website called kraftylady.com where I was introduced to some lovely handcrafted postcards. There are quite a few paris related ones on the site but this was a favorite. I really like the way in which there is a contrast between the old school scroll/script/love letter like type which is really delicate and quaint to the dynamo tape which is really bold.I like the placement of all the different elements that make up the postcard too it's quite care free in that sense not being to precious about layout and it works really well. I like this hands on approach of cutting and sticking bits together something I could possibly include within some of my design work for this project. After looking at this website and it's postcards it became clear that I would like to use the idea of love as Paris is described as the city of Love and Romance. This alongside french electro were my main two subject matters when I did my top of the mind branding exercise we were asked to do right at the start of the project.
